Meet Rufous!

This is Rufous, the resident Screech Owl at Shaver's Creek Environmental Center! He is named Rufous after the red color morph of this species. This little cutie has only one eye, and now lives at Shaver's Creek as an animal ambassador- educating the public about natural history and ecology. I have been having a wonderful time volunteering here in the Animal Care Program, and hope to develop some educational programs this summer!
